When traveling to Anaheim, you may not get your kicks on Route 66, but you may stew on the 22, get zen on the 10, or just try to survive the 5, 105, 405, and 605. If the Southern California (SoCal) freeway system—and lingo—seems confusing, just remember: you can almost always find an on-ramp right next to the off-ramp if you have to turn around; people in SoCal use their horns to express themselves, not necessarily to offend you personally; and most road-rage horror stories are just urban myths. From the Jet Way to the Freeway
Shuttle services from carriers such as Super Shuttle are available at most airports, though cost and reservation requirements vary, and travel time may be longer than if you drive yourself. If you’ll be behind the wheel, here are the directions:

Directions from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to the Anaheim Convention Center:
1. Start going toward the airport exit
2. Take ramp to Sepulveda Blvd. South (go 0.7 mi)
3. Take ramp onto I-105 East (17.1 mi)
4. Take the I-605 exit onto I-605 N (1.7 mi)
5. Take the Santa Ana Fwy/Los Angeles/Santa Ana exit onto I-5 South (13.4 mi)
6. Take exit #110B/Disneyland Dr./Ball Rd. (0.4 mi)
7. Bear left on S. Disneyland Dr. (1.3 mi)
8. Turn left on W. Katella Ave. (0.3 mi)
9. Arrive at the Anaheim Convention Center, 800 W. Katella Ave., Anaheim, CA 92802

Directions from Long Beach Airport (LGB) to the Anaheim Convention Center:
1. Start going toward the airport exit
2. Turn right on N. Lakewood Blvd. (go 1.1 mi)

4. Take ramp onto I-405 South (6.1 mi)
5. Bear right on CA-22 East (7.3 mi)

From the Convention Center to Food
Due to the suburban layout of the area, we recommend driving or taking a cab or bus to your destinations in Anaheim. Save your feet for the trade show floor. The Anaheim Resort Transit (ART) system will take you from the Anaheim Convention Center (stops on Convention Way, not right in front of the convention center entrance) to the best places to get food or have fun: Downtown Disney and The Block at Orange. (Cheapest fare is a one-day pass for $3; www.rideart.com).
If you’ll be behind the wheel, here are the directions:

Directions from the Anaheim Convention Center to Downtown Disney:
1. Start on Katella Ave. going toward Convention Center Entrance (go 0.2 mi)
2. Turn left on S. Harbor Blvd. (0.3 mi)
3. Turn left on S. Disneyland Dr. (0.2 mi)
4. Arrive at Downtown Disney

Directions from the Anaheim Convention Center to The Block at Orange:
1. Start on Katella Ave. going toward Convention Center Entrance (go 0.9 mi)

3. Take left ramp onto I-5 South (0.5 mi)
