A. Rates earned based on number of insertions within a 12-month period from the date of the first insertion. Each page or fractional page counts as one insertion, as do units within a multiple-page unit advertisement.
Two-page spreads count as two insertions toward fulfillment of a contract.
B. Bleed: No additional charge.
C. Cover Rates: Contact publisher for availability. Sold on schedules only.
D. Combination Rates: Substantial savings can be realized on basic rates when ads are also placed in other Canon publications. Contact nearest local office for details.
E. Preferred Positions: Earned rate plus $300. Contact publisher for availability of such positions.
F. Inserts: Your preprinted inserts--catalogues, technical bulletins, spec sheets, promotional mailings, and more--can be inserted into any issue for very reasonable rates. Inserts also count toward fulfillment of insertion contracts. Contact your nearest local office for details on rates, size and paper specifications, production charges, and shipping instructions.
G. Classified Advertising Rates: Line Classifieds are available at a rate of $4.50 per word, with a 50-word minimum. Classified display ads are available at a rate of $160 per inch, 1" minimum (25 mm), 4" maximum (102 mm), and must be exactly 2 3/16" (56 mm) wide. Camera-ready art must be supplied for classified display ads. Frequency discounts available. European Medical Device Manufacturer classified advertising appears in every issue of publication. See Editorial Calendar for closing dates. Classifieds are not commissionable. Recruitment display ads are available and follow the same mechanical and rate specifications as regular display advertising.
H. Issue and Closing Dates: Ad closing dates vary; check Editorial/Advertising Calendar for closing dates of each issue.
I. Commissions:
a. Agency commission, 15% if paid in full within 30 days.
b. Invoices are due and payable within 30 days, net. No commission allowed on production charges by publisher.
c. All accounts past 30 days will be assessed a monthly service charge of 1 1/2% of the unpaid balance.
